Night for Hope Guest Speaker Joe Schmit

Award-winning local news broadcaster and a long-time advocate for youth mentoring, Joe Schmit from KSTP-TV will make a guest appearance at the Hope for Tomorrow, "Night For Hope" gala on April 20, 2017, to speak about the importance of mentoring.  Guests will enjoy the fun stories and shared experiences during this highly anticipated presentation that promises to be filled with inspiration and should not be missed. 

Joe has written his first book, "Silent Impact: Influence through Purpose, Persistence, and Passion" and is a popular keynote speaker.  Joe is a long time youth mentor committed to advocating for a number of community organizations. Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization is at the top of his list. He has raised over $3 million for the organization through the Joe Schmitt Celebrity Golf Tournament, which had a 16-year run.  In 2001, he was the winner of the Odyssey Award for commitment to youth mentorship. Joe was also honored as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF) Community Leader of the Year in 2005. He is past president and board member of the Fairway Foundation and has contributed time to many other charitable organizations, now including Hope for Tomorrow.
